At the beginning of 2020, Covid-19 entered into our agenda and brought about radical changes. Due to the pandemic, we had to enter into a great wave of transformation and adapt to a brand new lifestyle. These radical changes influenced our social, business, and academic lives. While the winds of change are blowing throughout the world, the health-related risks of meeting people in person urged the development of alternative remote methods to hold meetings and events we typically would have organized by coming together in various places. The fact that the pandemic entered into our lives so suddenly accelerated the development of these alternative solutions. Moreover, organizing events has been among the things that adapted to digital most rapidly.

Virtual events were already in our lives in a limited way. The pandemic, however, has put them at the center of our lives. While existing virtual event platforms are being reorganized and improved, we are also introduced to brand new virtual event platforms. Since the beginning of human history, necessities have become the mother of inventions. Thanks to easy access to websites in the digital age, these new forms of event organizations could be promptly accepted and grown. We have started holding many organizations via event platforms, such as training, business meetings, and corporate events.

How Did Virtual Events Become Popular?

The thing is, virtual activities were not suddenly introduced to our lives. Many have already been using them for a long time. Their areas of usage and requirements kept expanding every day. The pandemic has just accelerated this process. In previous years, institutions had the option to benefit from virtual events or not. However, it has become a necessity for them for the last two years. The popularity of remote working and its disruption in the progression of business processes has accelerated the trend towards virtual event platforms. Besides the chance to save time and money, the ability to reach larger masses is one of the significant factors of this rapid shift. In the course of events, we have also observed that virtual events deliver a healthier way of providing intense information flow, which occurs in limited duration, thereby boosting efficiency. Undoubtedly, the most significant reason for the increased popularity of virtual activities is that following the social distancing rules significantly reduces the risk of transmission of the disease.

Digital transformation has brought about the development of technological infrastructure, easy implementation, the ability to reach a larger audience you cannot reach under normal circumstances, and notable productivity growth. These elements have led the institutions to announce that they will incorporate virtual events in their future programs. With their benefits, such as the ability to be held on a wide variety of subjects, the ease of organization, and no limitations on the number of participants, virtual events sound like staying with us permanently.

Boost The efficiency of Your Virtual Events with A Few Touches

  • Test your internet infrastructure before an event

We can clearly say that having a steady and fast internet connection is vital for virtual events. Although internet infrastructures have enhanced significantly compared to the past, we can still experience disconnections occasionally. Thus, you can test your internet beforehand and prevent unpleasant surprises that may occur during the event.

  • Mute participants in group meetings

When too many people are talking over each other in a meeting with high attendance, it is hard to distinguish between the speaker's sound and others. Since many of us are working remotely in pandemic conditions, the voice of the participants and their background can be heard during an event, creating chaos and blocking the voice of the main speaker. At the beginning of an event, you can prevent distracting noises by muting participants' microphones, excluding the speaker. Of course, it does not mean that you condemn your participants to be silent throughout the event by doing this. Remember that you can unmute any participant who would like to say something.

  • Choose a meeting space

If you are attending an event where you will need to use your webcam, choosing a great background would be helpful. Although you can add any background image you want with today's AI-supported platforms, attending an event in a relevant place will help you stay focused.

  • Turn off your mic during an event

You may hear noises you do not want to hear in your space. Turning off your mic during an event will prevent this from happening to you.

What are The Types of Virtual Events?

In today's world, defined as the digital age, almost anything is possible depending on technological developments. Virtual events can also come in all different types and sizes. You can hold an all-inclusive event with unlimited participants or organize a specific event intended for a small group. Virtual meetings, virtual conferences, virtual concerts, virtual corporate events, virtual launches, and virtual interviews are just the tip of the iceberg of virtual events you can hold. You can broaden the scope as you like and move any activity to virtual platforms. Considering what your audience needs, you can also customize your event. It is your call to allow who can attend the events with or without registration.

** We request a briefing prior to the virtual event.

** An account executive contacts you to discover event details such as content and scope of the meeting as well as target audience.

** Next, a screen is opened for you to send invitations to the target audience. Once you upload your list, invitations are sent out.

** The list of registered users are emailed to you one day before the event. Then, reminders are sent to the registered users 24 hours and 1 hour prior to the event.
** On principle, we recommend sending out the invitations at least 5 days prior to the event.

** If you request a special layout, please consider that 3 business days will be needed for design and software updates.

** If your guest list is ready, the event can go live within an average of 8 business days after the briefing. The design process is included in this timeframe.
** Google Chrome or Firefox browser should be used.

** We recommend connecting via a high speed fixed bandwidth for uninterrupted streaming.

** An external microphone or a headset microphone should be used.

** Using an external or built-in 720P video camera will enhance the streaming quality.
